Moving

Tomorrow I'm moving to the Praries. I can't wait. I'll have more friends there and because I'm moving before Halloween, I should get a lot more candy. I already know some of my friends that live there. My friend Brock, Sarah, Kyle and Gavin, (but they live in Providence), and a couple of more of my friends. I just can't wait. I think we're going to sleep their tomorrow night and then get the rest of the stuff Saturday. The house is awwsome too. There's a pool table that's included, a projector screen, and sorround sound system. It's gonns be awsome. Well that's all I have to say. By the way, our house isn't as big as the house in the picture below.

Technology

I learned a lot in this quarter in tehcnology. I learned how to type faster and about somputers and everything. I really liked the time typing test. I started to get really fast at it. It was really fun too. I also liked the typing web. That was really fun. I also loved that we didnt have any homework in here. That was one of my favorite parts about this class. There wasnt much test either. That was really good too. I also liked the blog. Especially free blog. That was fun because I liked to write about what I wanted to. It went really fast too. Thats good because that means that were closer to the end of the year. Well thats all I have to say.

P.E

 I think that it should be for all students. But  for the students that  have problems they should make it easier for them or else it wouldnt be fair. I do think it should be for all students because P.E is important and it makes you healthy and strong because you lose weight and it makes you more fit. It can also make you a better athlete.

Jam Session

Friday night, me and my brother and my mom are going to a jam session at Joson Fowlers on main street. I've been there a couple other times. All I have to do is bring my guitar and plug in and start playin. It's mostly jazz and blues that we play. It's also free and anyone can go. The past couple of times I've been there, it was fun. I get to solo on the guitar so it's really fun. My dad may beable to go to, so hophully he can.

Giving $100

If I had a $100 then I would give it to some poor person. I would want them to spend it on a little bit of clothes, food, drinks, and a little bit to have some fun. I would really want to give $100 to them. I would be really happy for them. I would also be happy for myself.

My Gig

This Saturday I have a gig. It's a block party at Conner's (bass player) end of the street. This is our second year of having it too. Before the gig, we have practice at Eli's (drummer) house. This guy Matt Meyer from the Ded Bugs, is coming to help us. He's half-way famous. He's Eli's dad's friend. So I hope it won't rain. So I think it'll be a fun weekend.

Helping Each Other

I helped the bass player in my band (Conner) when he got said because I was teaching him a song and it was to hard for him but I helped him feel better. I also helped the other guitar player in my band (Jonah) with some guitar parts because he was having some truoble. They also both helped me and I felt really good about both of the situations. We all help each other by teaching us a song or just getting up.

This Weekend

On Friday,i'm goin to the dance which will be fun. when i come home i'll probably play guitar. On Saturday, i'm goin to my friends house so we can practice for our acuostic gig on Saturday night. After the gig, i'm stayin at his house for a sleepover. Hopefully on Sunday i'll get to do something  fun with my family or my friends. That's all I have to say.

9/11 Rememberence

I know a lot about 9/11 becouse I watched videos and footage about it. It is really sad. I wished it never happened. I seen footage with people trying to find as many people as they can under all the debree and smoke and everything. Thousands of people died and the people who ran the plan into the Twin Towers were wrong people. They should not have done that. I'm sure that a lot of people agree with me. Well that's all I have time to say.

All About Me

Im in a band called Million Hits. Im the guitar player (mostly lead guitar). I love 80s music as in "Warrant" or "Poison". My favorite band is KISS. This summer my family and I took a trip to Myrtle Beach and we went to the KISS coffe shop there in Broadway.

Technology Class

What I learned in technology is many things. But what I learned the most is how to use a computer the right way. One thing I wish we could have spent more time on is making power points. I think power points are good for our education and it teaches us more about reaserch and how to reaserch things we need to know. I really enjoyed technology class with Mrs. Debolt. I hope I will be in this class again next year.

Scary Fishing

Tonight me, my dad, and a couple of other people are going to a haunted lake to go fishing. We went to this lake last week, the lake is called Lake Mina. It is is Valles Mines and we go there sometimes to go camping and fishing, or just to get scared. One time when we went, we were in the tents going to sleep and my dad made us get up and go home, we had to leave everything there. But luckily my uncle was there staying on a peninsula where he could still see our camping stuff we left there. Him and one of his friends were fishing and they saw a lady walk out of the water they got so scared they left too and as they left they saw green legs walking out of the fire we had built earlier. They left everything there too, the kayaks, tents, and even the fish they caught! and tonight when I go, I will be prepared for what is going to happen.

Is it Better to Work Hard or be Smart?

I think it is more important to be smart. The reason I thing this is because if you are smart you will know that you need to work hard too. So that means you will do both. If I am feeling smart, and I need to clean my room, I will be smart and clean it before someone tells me to. That happens a lot because I like to feel smart so I do smart things. Also if you are smart, you will make good decisions and get good grades, and that makes you feel proud of yourself. So by just being smart, you work hard, get good grades that make you feel proud of yourself and theres much more things you can get for being smart, so that is the decision I would choose.

Falling off the porch

Not too long ago, we had a couple of people come to our house. We sat outside on the back porch in our white lawn chairs as my dad barbecued. Our back porch has no sides around it and it's about three feet high. I was on the back legs of my chair and suddenly I was falling! I quickly landed on the ground and started laughing. I laughed for a long time and so did everyone else, it lasted for about five minutes. Then I put the chair back on the porch and just left i there, I didn't want to sit down because I didn't want to fall again. Now when I sit down, I wont lean back in my chair because I don't want that to happen again.

Message Mistake

Once I sent my friend a message on facebook and she took it the wrong way. I said something in a sarcastic way but since she couldn't hear the way I was trying to say it, it sounded really mean. She thought I was mad at her and she didn't know why. The next day at school we discussed it and she understood what I meant and it was all ok after that. Now when I'm talking to my friends in text, email, etc. I will make sure they wont take it the wrong way and be upset with me. I hope you do the same thing.

My Favorite Animal

My favorite animal is an alpaca. I have a lot of favorite animals, but I would have to say an alpaca is my favorite tied with a velociraptor. Alpacas are awesome to me because they look like llamas but they aren't because there are some differences. If all the alpacas in the world just disappeared one day, I would have an emptiness inside of me. Alpacas complete me because they bring an extra joy into my life that everyone needs. I think velociraptors should still be here  because you could train them to be good and everyone could have one. If people had these animals, it would make their lives better.

Weather

Weather is found by scientist using special tools that tell you what is going to happen. How I find the weather is by watching the news. Accurate news about the weather is important to me so I know what is going to happen and when it should happen. If the weather was'nt accurate, there might be a tornado and it would'nt be shown on the news. Some ways my activities or plans are affected by weather is when I have track, the track gets wet or it's storming outside so we either have track inside or it gets canceled. That is why the weather is important.

A Quote by Booker T.

What I think Booker T. meant when he wrote this quote, "If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else" is if you make someone else happy you will be happy. This has applied to me in the past when I got something for someone else, I was happy when I saw them beig happy with what I got that person. In the future, I plan to do things for other people that will make them happy so I can be hapy too. When I get things for Christmas or if someone does something for me it makes me happy. So that is why i want to make other people happy in the future so I can be happy too.

About Myself

Hi I'm Maddi and today I'm going to tell you about me! First, I will tell you how old I am, I am 13 years old. Also, my favorite color is red. I really like music, my favorite band is The Beatles. My favorite class in school is Technology which is the class I'm in right at this minute. I like to play the piano, oboe, and xylophone. I started playing the piano when I was six, I started playing the oboe when I was 12 and the xylophone a couple months ago. My favorite animal is an alpacca because I think they are just amazing. I lived in Desoto since I was nine. My favorite thing to do is draw. I'm in track and I throw many different things. I like outdoor activities like swimming, fishing, hunting and more. I have one sister named Sam, and one brother named Josh, I'm the youngest of all of us. Those are just a few things about me. I hope you enjoyed!
