Kid Nation 3

In this video I have first seen examples of socialization because Greg needs to learn how to behave with the little kids. Mallory's parents do not approve of cursing, and that is something that Greg has been doing. He needs to know that the council was strongly thinking about giving the gold star to him, so he can't just throw it all away. Also, the council has decided on a curfew for the kids; some children don't agree, but they need to learn to participate in  a group life.

The second thing I have seen in this video is self-concept because some people have good images of themselves based on what they have accomplished. The council has an easy time trusting Michael because of the image he has made of himself. Also, Greg thinks he has made a good image on the council members until the morning where he woke everyone up by rolling on the little kids. Greg was cursing and acting like a complete idiot. Because of the image he has made on himself, the council will have a hard time trusting him as the person to give the gold star to.

The last thing I have seen in this video is de-socialization and re-socialization because during the last showdown, a lot of the districts were reassigned to a new job. The red district, the old merchants, have to be the laborers. Before they were even merchants, they were upper class, and it will be hard to move down to the lowest class. But for the green district, for example, they get to move up to the cooks. All of the districts have to change their way of life in a small way, but they have to learn to change their ways and sometimes give something up.
